Each person sees the world in their own unique way, and I have my own perspective as well. I wanted to capture the moments that feel truly precious to me and preserve them on canvas.

Visiting my husband’s mother in Washington, we took her to a quiet lake in Kirkland. Walking side by side along the deck, they looked like brother and sister. It was a sweet, tender moment.

I’ve always loved blue, but nothing compares to a blue parasol by the seaside at sunset. The warm light deepens its color, making it more vibrant—a perfect harmony of nature and color.

Two worlds

Even during the busy morning rush, I watch people looking at their small cell phone screens. It feels as if two worlds exist: one inside the phone, and one beyond it.

I noticed a loving mother and daughter at a nearby farmers market and painted them on canvas. I titled it “Mom and me” to remember the joyful shopping trips I enjoyed with my mom as a child.
